ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between dietary habits, lifestyle, and health status among formerjudoka who practiced rapid weight loss (RWL). For this purpose, 236 former judoka were surveyed using the CSPCHQ questionnaire. Basic descriptive statistics, including the number of participants, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, minimum, and maximum values, were calculated for all analyzed variables. The correlation between variables was examined using Spearman’s correlation coecient, with 95% condence intervals calculated alongside the correlation coecients. The level of statistical signicance was set at p < 0.05. The results indicate that among former judoka who practiced rapid weight loss during their athletic careers, a history of RWL was not directly associated with current dietary, lifestyle, and health status indicators. However, current dietary patterns and dietary self-control showed relatively signicant correlations with health status. It can be concluded that in understanding the health of former judoka, it is necessary to consider not only their previous athletic practices but also their current lifestyle habits.
